LWVUS Adopts a Position on Human Trafficking

At the National Convention in Dallas on June 6−10, the LWVUS adopted a concurrence with the LWV New Jersey Human Trafficking position.


Trafficking news in Colorado: HB 14−1273 passed in May 2014 and went into effect on July 1, 2014.
The highlights of the new Colorado Human Trafficking Legislation are as follows:


Congratulations to Betty Janes who wrote a grant proposal to the LWVCO and was awarded $300 to purchase materials for the Great Decisions discussions.

Membership Renewal Time!

It’s that time of the year again for us to renew our membership to keep the League going. We have lots of programs lined up for 2015, programs that will keep you informed about what’s happening in our community and beyond. So we’re hoping you will take a moment to send your check for 2015 membership to Denis Boon at P.O. Box 1753, Cortez, CO 81321. The membership for the first person in the household is $50 and additional people in the household are $30 each.
